Education Day transforms the ZORA! Festival grounds into a vibrant, interactive learning environment designed for students across Central Florida.

Through hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and educational exhibits, students explore how Zora Neale Hurston’s legacy connects to art, literature, STEM, and social studies. Teachers and chaperones will discover creative ways to bring cultural education to life — making learning both fun and memorable.

This day is dedicated to empowering young minds to think critically, celebrate their heritage, and see themselves as the innovators of tomorrow.

Target Audience

Elementary, middle, and high school students, educators, and academic partners.Participation is available for both public and private school groups with advance registration.

Visitor Information

Location: Historic Eatonville Cultural District

Chaperones: 1 adult per 10 students recommended

Arrival: School groups should arrive between 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM

Parking: Bus and group parking available near festival entrance

Accessibility: All festival areas are wheelchair accessible
