Ambassador Peter Romero, now retired, has spent over 40 years as a globalist practitioner. He served for twenty-five years as a career diplomat and was honored to have been chosen as Chief of Mission in El Salvador, Ambassador in Ecuador and Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs at the Department of State. He is the recipient of several awards for leadership under circumstances of duress. Since his retirement, he has advised multinational companies on foreign investments and advises governments on holistic approaches to security problems. He lectures at Georgetown University’s graduate School of Foreign Service, as well as military service schools at Fort Leavenworth (US Army) and Quantico, VA (Marine Corps headquarters). He is currently co-producer and co-moderator of the podcast American Diplomat.
