This communication aims to make a theoretical and methodological framework with a view to the perception of the phenomenon related to the African matrix culture of traffic that moves through the African continent, with crop in Mozambique. In our view, globalization has allowed the cultural manifestations of people who find themselves scattered in various parts of the world are mobilized and revisited in various ways and by looks from different areas of knowledge. In the case of this communication, the intention is to report the presence of this cultural dispersion arising from Mozambique, especially in Belo Horizonte, a city where I live.
The report makes up the project presented and approved by the Education Personnel Improvement Center Superior / CNPQ for development of post-doctoral study in Spain, especially in Barcelona, cosmopolitan named by many scholars and travelers, was chosen as a prime location for observation, data gathering and analysis in the year 2014. Joining the line of anthropological research at the University of Barcelona was relevant to the achievement of the purposes of this investigation. The cut interest in this University comes from the teacher’s work Dr. José Luis Ruiz Peinado Alonso, who has developed important research about the african-American cultures, among others, including studies on the diasporic transits. The proposed narrowing to more localized studies on Mozambique is partly because I have lived in the country for four months as a result of Doctoral Research that developed.
My studies, started in 2009 and completed in 2013, sought a vertical about the literary production of the black writer Paulina Chiziane, Mozambique. Thus, I had the opportunity to learn more of the local culture and at the same time realize the socio-cultural approaches that take place between Brazil and Mozambique. The experience in Barcelona for five months was also a rich experience to understand a little more about the anthropology of african-Brazilian populations.
I think that studies like these contribute to global reflections on the strong contribution of Africans and African descendants on the planet is extremely valuable. I also believe that the case of the relationship between Belo Horizonte and Mozambique is an example of positive cultural exchange from the diaspora.
